1. Who we are
ReveIQ is a provider of revenue cycle calculators, clocks, and reference tools for healthcare CDI specialists, coders, revenue cycle analysts, and related professionals. We operate the website reveiqai.com and the associated tools. References in this policy to "ReveIQ," "we," "us," or "our" refer to the operators of this website. References to "you" or "your" refer to any individual visiting the website or using our tools.
2. Information we do not collect
Most of what distinguishes ReveIQ is what we don't do with information:
- We do not collect Protected Health Information. Our tools are designed to operate on aggregate data, DRG codes, denial codes, and department-level metrics — not patient-identifiable data. You should not enter patient names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, or other PHI into any ReveIQ tool.
- We do not store your calculations. When you use a ReveIQ calculator or tool, the inputs and outputs are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit your calculation data to our servers.
- We do not require an account to use any of our free tools.
- We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
- We do not share your email address with advertisers, data brokers, or other commercial entities.
3. Information we do collect
3.1 Waitlist and contact email
If you voluntarily submit your email address to our waitlist form or any contact form on the website, we collect:
- The email address you provide
- The date and time of submission
- The form you submitted it through
We use this information to notify you of product launches, pricing changes, and ReveIQ updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email from us or by contacting us at the email address listed at the bottom of this policy.
3.2 Privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible)
ReveIQ uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service. Plausible was deliberately chosen because it does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual users across sessions or websites. Plausible collects the following anonymized aggregate information:
- Page views and pages visited (no user identifiers)
- Referring website (where you came from before reaching ReveIQ)
- Browser type and operating system
- Approximate geographic country (derived from IP address, then IP is discarded — Plausible does not store IP addresses)
- Custom events such as clicks on "Get Pro" buttons (aggregated, not tied to individuals)
Plausible Analytics is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant by design. It does not build advertising profiles, does not sell data, does not share data with third parties, and does not require cookie consent because no cookies are used. Plausible's privacy practices are documented at plausible.io/data-policy.
This information helps us understand which ReveIQ tools are most useful, where our visitors come from, and how to improve the product. It does not allow us to identify you personally.
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies
ReveIQ does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes. Because our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookie-free, we are able to operate the entire website without cookie consent banners or third-party tracking.
The only browser storage ReveIQ may use is:
- Local storage within your browser for tool functionality (for example, remembering your input values within a single session in some tools). This data never leaves your device.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, social media trackers, or persistent identifiers.
4. How we use information
We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to inquiries you submit
- To notify you of ReveIQ product launches and updates (if you opted in)
- To maintain and improve the website and tools
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations
5. How we share information
We share limited information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate the website (web hosting, email delivery, analytics). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may only use information for the purposes we specify.
- For legal compliance when required by law, subpoena, or court order.
- In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
6. Data security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the limited information we collect against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Our security practices are described in more detail in our Security Overview.
However, no system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding information we hold about you:
- Access: Request a copy of information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of information we hold
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from email communications at any time
- Portability: Request your information in a portable format
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address at the bottom of this policy. We will respond within 30 days.
7.1 California residents
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. ReveIQ does not sell or share personal information as defined by these laws.
7.2 European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland residents
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing your information under the GDPR is either your consent (for the waitlist) or our legitimate interest in operating the website. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Children's privacy
ReveIQ is designed for healthcare professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us for prompt deletion.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Material changes will be communicated via the email address you provided (if applicable) or prominently on the website.
