Terms of Service

The short version. ReveIQ tools provide estimates, references, and scenario modeling for educational and planning purposes. They are not a substitute for professional clinical, coding, billing, or legal advice. Use them as a starting point, not a final answer. We're not liable if you rely on our output for a specific clinical or financial decision without independent verification.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of reveiqai.com, ReveIQ tools, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

ReveIQ provides a suite of revenue cycle calculators, clocks, lookup tools, and related reference materials designed for healthcare CDI specialists, inpatient coders, revenue cycle analysts, and related professionals. The Service includes both free tools available without registration and paid tools available through subscription (when launched).

3. Important limitations on use of ReveIQ output

3.1 Not professional advice

ReveIQ tools provide estimates, reference information, and scenario modeling. They do not constitute:

Clinical or medical advice
Official coding guidance
Legal advice regarding appeals, regulatory compliance, or contract interpretation
Financial advice or formal revenue modeling
Authoritative payer-specific determinations

You must verify any ReveIQ output against the relevant primary sources — Official ICD-10 Coding Guidelines, AHA Coding Clinic, CMS transmittals and manuals, specific payer contracts and policies, applicable state and federal regulations, and your organization's internal policies — before making clinical, financial, or operational decisions based on the output.

3.2 Estimates, not guarantees

Reimbursement calculations, appeal deadline calculations, benchmark comparisons, and other quantitative outputs are estimates based on publicly available data and industry-typical assumptions. Actual reimbursement, deadlines, and outcomes depend on many factors ReveIQ cannot know or model, including specific payer contracts, state-law variations, facility-specific agreements, outlier payments, adjustments, and individual case circumstances.

3.3 No substitute for current authoritative sources

Regulatory codes, payer policies, coding guidelines, appeal rules, and benchmark data change frequently. While ReveIQ works to maintain accurate reference information, you are responsible for verifying current rules against the authoritative primary source before relying on any ReveIQ output for a material decision.

4. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree that you will:

Not input Protected Health Information. ReveIQ is designed to operate on aggregate data, not patient-identifiable information. Do not enter patient names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, or other PHI into any tool.
Comply with all applicable laws, including HIPAA and equivalent regulations when working with any patient-related data in your organization.
Not use the Service to infringe on any intellectual property rights.
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, scrape, or systematically extract ReveIQ's reference data, tier classifications, taxonomy frameworks, or other proprietary content.
Not use the Service to build a competing product or service.
Not misuse, attack, overload, or otherwise interfere with the Service.
Not misrepresent yourself or submit fraudulent information through any form.

5. Intellectual property

ReveIQ, the ReveIQ name, the ReveIQ logo, the ReveIQ Leverage Tier System, the ReveIQ Denial Taxonomy, the ReveIQ Industry Benchmark Index, and other ReveIQ-branded methodologies are the intellectual property of ReveIQ. Underlying data inputs (CMS MS-DRG weights, CARC/RARC codes, federal regulations) are public-domain and not claimed as ReveIQ property, but our analytical frameworks, classifications, and commentary are.

You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your internal professional purposes. You do not acquire any ownership interest in the Service or its content through your use.

6. Paid subscriptions

Certain ReveIQ tools are available only to paid subscribers ("Pro" or "Team" tiers). When paid subscriptions become available:

Pricing and included features will be clearly displayed on the website at the time of purchase
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date
You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us
Refund policies will be disclosed at time of purchase
We may change pricing for new subscribers with notice; existing subscribers will be notified of pricing changes at least 30 days in advance

7. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to third-party websites or reference third-party materials. ReveIQ does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites or services.

8. Service availability

We aim to maintain reliable availability of the Service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience or loss arising from Service interruptions.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

REVEIQ DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. REVEIQ DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY OUTPUT GENERATED BY THE SERVICE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVEIQ AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF REVENUE, PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

REVEIQ'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 USD OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO REVEIQ IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ReveIQ and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third party's rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Material changes will be communicated on the website and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
