How ReveIQ models query opportunity

The ReveIQ Query Opportunity Calculator uses the proprietary MS-DRG Intelligence Database — 275 inpatient DRGs across 12 service lines, each with four severity-of-illness subclass weights (LV1 through LV4). Every subclass has a distinct CMS relative weight, and moving a case from one subclass to the next requires specific documentation improvements (additional CC or MCC capture, PDx refinement, or severity specification).

For any case, ReveIQ calculates the weight delta × hospital base rate for every possible upgrade pathway from the current subclass, then ranks them by financial impact. The annual projection multiplies the best-available pathway by expected case volume — giving you the total revenue sitting on the table for that DRG across a year.
